prework

Purpose:
To begin the process of determining what it is, personally and professionally, that you really want. To learn to listen to and accept what your intuition and personal experience tells you through your imagination, desires and your actions.
What you really want = what you find genuinely satisfying

      • Career

Task One:
Recall a personal experience:

      • in the last 5 to 10 years, which gave or currently gives you a significant sense of satisfaction or accomplishment and that is significant to you, not necessarily to anyone else.

Write at least one concise paragraph that describes your experience. Do this for 10 to 20 specific experiences. They should vary across your personal, professional, physical, intellectual and spiritual life if possible. They can be things you do rarely or often; it makes no difference as long as they are significant to you.
Use a notebook or journal to record these recollections. What you write will remain private, so please be as specific and truthful as you can. Remember, this is for you! Bring all this written work to the personal interview.

Task Two:
Make a list of the following:

      • Your key skills and capabilities
      • Your strengths and weaknesses
      • Things that seem to be missing from your life that would improve the overall quality you experience in your daily life
